چکیده
This paper presents a novel strategy for the synchronization of grid-following Voltage Source Converters (VSCs) in power systems with low rotational inertia. The proposed unit is based on emulating physical properties an induction machine and capitalizes its inherent grid-friendly such as self-synchronization, oscillation damping, standalone capabilities. To this end, mathematical model analyzed reformulated to obtain unknown grid frequency by processing voltage current measurements at converter output. eliminates need Phase-Locked Loop (PLL) unit, traditionally employed VSC control schemes, while simultaneously preserving system- device-level control. Furthermore, we provide appropriate steps obtaining index-1 DAE representation induction-machine-based suitable stability analysis. Our analysis shows that replacing PLL virtual machine-based may considerably improve converters facilitate containment. validate performance through simulations recommendations tuning.

Investigation of the Effect of Synchronization Techniques on the Stability of Grid-Connected Photovoltaic Systems
Abstract: Due to the increasing use of microgrids, investigation of their stability is of special interest. One of the disadvantages of an inverter-based distribution unit is that at any given time, phase and frequency information at the point of common coupling (PCC) is required that affected the stability. The synchronization techniques include synchronous reference frame phase-locked loop (S...
